Welcome to Rēgīe's Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, contact us, or engage us for renovation direction and design services.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/AVG). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data.
Rēgīe is operated by Rēgīe V.O.F., a general partnership (vennootschap onder firma) based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, currently in the process of being registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK).
For the purposes of this policy, "we", "us", and "Rēgīe" refer to Rēgīe V.O.F. as data controller for the personal data described below.

Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, time zone, device type, and operating system.

How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:

Provide our design and renovation direction services, including coordinating with contractors and suppliers on your behalf
Prepare proposals, reports, and project documentation
Maintain records required for accounting and tax purposes
Improve our website and services
Send you updates or marketing communications, where you have given consent
Legal basis for processing
Under the GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
Consent: when you submit our contact form, or opt in to marketing communications
Performance of a contract: when we process your data to deliver a design, or renovation direction service you have engaged us for
Legal obligation: where we are required to retain financial records under Dutch tax law
Legitimate interest: for basic website analytics and security, where this does not override your rights and freedoms
Disclosure of your information
Coordinating your renovation is central to what we do, which means we share relevant project information with:
Contractors, suppliers, and specialists in our partner network, to the extent necessary to brief them on your project and coordinate the work you have engaged us for
Service providers who support our operations, such as our project management, accounting, and website tools
A successor entity, in the event of a restructuring or transfer of our business
Authorities, where required by law
We do not sell your personal data. We only share what is necessary for the purpose it was collected for, and we expect every partner we work with to handle your information responsibly.
International data transfers
Some of the tools we use to run our business (for example, project management and cloud storage tools) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this is the case, we rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data to the same standard as under the GDPR.
Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
Contact form enquiries that do not lead to a project are retained for 6 months
Client and project records, including data required for invoicing, are retained for 7 years in line with Dutch tax and accounting obligations
Marketing consent is retained until you withdraw it
Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against accidental loss, unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. Access to your personal data is limited to those who need it to carry out our work with you.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Request erasure of your personal data, where applicable
- Object to or request restriction of processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
